NEW BOOK BY ‘AMERICA’S ANIMAL COMMUNICATOR’ DETAILS UNIQUE THOUGHTS, MESSAGES FROM THE CREATURES WE LOVE
With a long record of amazing cases, Karen Anderson, known as “America’s Animal Communicator,” takes her work to the next level with the release of her first book, Hear All Creatures! The Journey of an Animal Communicator. The 120-page book, released by New River Press in November 2007, details the work and methods of the Elk, Washington-based psychic with the lifelong ability to communicate with dogs, cats, birds, horses, reptiles and even fish. The often heart-tugging cases involve sick animals, lost pets, runaways, animals that have died, and sometimes those that just want to communicate better with their humans. Benefiting the most are often the humans themselves, after Karen Anderson helps them understand and connect with their own pets. Ms. Anderson is in demand not only for private consultation but as a popular international speaker and talk-show guest. Hear All Creatures! The Journey of an Animal Communicator retails for $14.95US, $15.95CDN and is available from Baker & Taylor Books and Ingram Book Co. NEW BOOK BY ‘FIND ME’ GROUP DETAILS UNIQUE WORK BY PSYCHICS, POLICE, RESCUE PERSONNEL TO FIND MISSING PEOPLE
With a long record of solved cases, the group known as “Find Me” takes its work another step with release of a new book: Find Me: How a Unique Group of Psychics, Retired Law Enforcement Officers, and Canine Search and Rescue Volunteers from Around the World Have Banded Together to Find Missing People The 208-page book, written by Dan Baldwin and published by New River Press in March 2007, details the work and methods of 13 of the group’s psychics from different parts of the world as they pursue leads on missing people. The Find Me team is headed by Jerry “Kelly” Snyder, a retired agent of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. The often dramatic cases may involve kidnap victims, runaways, suicides, accidents, murders and sometimes just misunderstandings. While their help is almost always invaluable to police, search and rescue personnel, and bereaved families, Find Me psychics have to put up with hardened skeptics, prejudices, stereotypes and other obstacles. And all that while accepting no compensation for their work! At the same time, there are stirring tributes from law enforcement authorities. Dan Baldwin, based in Phoenix, Arizona, and himself a member of the Find Me team, has coauthored or ghost-written 30 books and CD programs on subjects ranging from real estate, management, sales and motivation, parenting, professional sports and psychic phenomena. He has won local, regional and national awards for his writing and film/video directing. The introduction is by Stephen C. Kopp, a private investigator and retired law enforcement officer. BOOK DOCUMENTS ADVENTURES OF PHOENIX’S “PSYCHIC EMT”
Believed to be the first book ever to document the experiences of a trained psychic, medium and healer as an emergency medical technician in a major American city, Shadows on My Shift: Real-Life Stories of a Psychic EMT, by Sherri Lee Devereau of the Phoenix Fire Department’s Crisis Response Team, is set for release in October. “Emergency medical workers expect to see dead people in their line of work, but what makes Sherri different is her ability to communicate with those who are just starting their ‘journey to the other side’ at the scenes of fatal accidents. The messages she receives, and how she conveys them to grieving loved ones, make for a uniquely touching and dramatic story!” said David W. Balfour of New River Press, the publisher. New River Press is donating 100 copies of the book to benefit the city’s Crisis Response Team, a volunteer organization. While Shadows on My Shift is available for preorder at www.newriverpress.com or by calling (800) 244-1257, the official book release will take place in Phoenix on Nov. 18 during a half-day program, “Turning Home Phoenix,” with Devereau and paranormal expert, author and journalist Paul F. Eno. More information is online at www.turninghome.com. The public is invited, and books will be available for sale and author signing. Founded in 1990, New River Press is a family owned and operated commercial publishing firm based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.
SHERRI LEE DEVEREAU, Phoenix's own "psychic EMT" is an intuitive guide, medium, and QiGong Master Healer, trained at the Boading QiGong Hospital in China. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 7 January 2006 For more information and review galleys: Contact New River Press or call (800) 244-1257
FIRST BOOK TO COME OUT OF STATION NIGHTCLUB FIRE TO BE RELEASED FEBRUARY 11 41 Signs of Hope, the first book to come out of the 2003 Station nightclub fire in West Warwick, R.I., which killed 100 people, will be released during a program in Johnston, R.I., on Saturday, Feb. 11, in time for the third anniversary of the disaster. The book was authored by Johnston resident Dave Kane, well known New England radio personality and father of the fire’s youngest victim. 41 Signs of Hope documents a remarkable series of experiences by family and friends that they say are unmistakable communications from Nicholas O’Neill, 18. Many of these are based on the number 41, which had great significance in young O’Neill’s life. Completely unplanned, the number of chapters in the book even worked out to 41, according to the publisher. International Medium Robert Brown of Morlaix, France, wrote the book’s introduction, while cover text was composed by Providence-based novelist and screen writer Jon Land. The book’s striking cover art is by celebrated Rhode Island artist and performer Charlie Hall. Despite his youth, Nicholas O’Neill was a talented dramatist and musician whose CD Day has Turned to Evening has enjoyed high sales to benefit the Nicky O Foundation and whose play They Walk Among Us captured “Best Screenplay” for a short or feature at the 2005 Black Point Film Festival. There are plans to turn the production into a feature film. The book release program will take place at Lombardi’s 1025 Club, 1025 Plainfield St., Johnston at 2 p.m. The public is invited, and books will be available for sale and author signing. For more information, visit www.41signsofhope.com. Founded in 1990, New River Press is a family-owned commercial publishing company based in Woonsocket. -end-
